PAID INTERNSHIP WITH THE NEVADA COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
INTERNSHIP DURATION DECEMBER 15, 2023 - JANUARY 15, 2024
**DATES MAY BE FLEXIBLE BASED ON COLLEGE BREAK SCHEDULE**
Come learn about the many functions of the County's Department of Agriculture; including the Direct Market Program, Pesticide Use Enforcement Program, and Weights and Measures Program.
This intern position will work side by side with licensed county agricultural biologist/weights and measures inspectors by assisting with data entry and record filing.
Intern will enter existing certified producer certificate information as well as agricultural commodity data into the newly created statewide database.
Intern will also assist licensed staff in testing weights & measures devices for accuracy.
Additional duties also include data entry of pesticide use reports, purging of records, and assisting agricultural biologist with required regulatory inspections.
Intern can expect to work no more than 20 hours per week.
