The Office of Student Financial Aid is looking to recruit a Student Financial Aid Counselor, Senior. The Student Financial Aid Counselor, Senior serves as a second-tier resource for the Student Financial Management Center to assist with analyzing and assessing complex Financial Aid issues.

HERE IS WHAT YO WILL DO
· Advise parents, students and colleagues on Financial Aid in accordance to Title IV, State and Institutional regulations.
· Counsel students and parents to determine and initiate a course of action to appropriately resolve concerns.
· Resolve awarding issues.
· Work daily KPI report and resolve items like Pushed ISIR, C-flag resolution, Parent Plus and Graduate PLUS applications review/certification, Pell Grant and federal loan issues review and resolution, review of new EDE and FAH transaction from NSLDS.
· Understand and assist with the verification, correction, and recalculation of student files.
· Address student’s concerns via Salesforce tickets.
· Understand Satisfactory Academic Appeal process.
· Authorize student’s Financial Aid.
· Certify applications for loans.
· Review aid applications for accuracy and verify application information with supporting documentation.

Counselors and Specialists must complete the U.S. Department of Education, Federal Student Aid training when hired. In addition to this initial training, regular training will occur.

Qualifications
Minimum Hiring Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two years of Financial Aid or counseling or student personnel experience; or a combination of education and related experience
