STUDENT FACILITIES WORKER

Summary

This position performs general maintenance and maintain appearance of facilities.

Essential Functions

• General maintenance.
• Keep facilities clean.
• Make sure walkways and public areas are maintained.
• Keep areas safe from accidents, to include water, snow or any hazards to prevent injury.
• Perform other duties as it pertains to the position as assigned by supervisor.

Knowledge / Skills

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, staff, and students.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as add, subtract, multiple and divide with 10's and 100's.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Education and Work Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior experience preferred but not required.
