Summary
This position performs general maintenance and maintain appearance of facilities.
Essential Functions
- General maintenance.
- Keep facilities clean.
- Make sure walkways and public areas are maintained.
- Keep areas safe from accidents, to include water, snow or any hazards to prevent injury.
- Perform other duties as it pertains to the position as assigned by supervisor.
Knowledge / Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups, managers, staff, and students.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as add, subtract, multiple and divide with 10's and 100's.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Education and Work Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); prior experience preferred but not required.
