Responsibilities:
- Conduct advanced tax research on intricate issues and provide insightful analysis.
- Demonstrate a deeper understanding of complex tax laws and regulations.
- Play a more substantial role in structuring and advising on various transactions, such as mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
- Handle more complex tax planning scenarios.
- Engage in more direct client counseling, addressing complex tax issues, and providing strategic advice.
- Demonstrate an ability to communicate tax concepts effectively to clients.
- Stay updated on tax law and regulation changes, attending relevant seminars and conferences.
- Contribute to the firm's knowledge base through internal training sessions or presentations.
- Draft and review tax-related documents, including opinions, memoranda, and transactional documents.
- Take on a greater role in quality control and review of work produced by junior associates or support staff.
- Demonstrate the ability to work more independently on assigned tasks and projects.
- Show initiative in taking on challenging assignments and solving complex tax issues.
Requirements
Requirements:
-Exceptional academic achievement with a law degree from a U.S.-accredited law school.
-Active New York State Bar license in good standing.
-2 – 5 years of Structured Finance transactions and securitizations
-Strong analytical and drafting skills.
-Team player with the flexibility to handle various tasks.
-Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
-Outstanding interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
-Ability to independently multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
