Job Description
- Pulls Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6a cables and fiber optic cabling systems.
- Installation of data equipment, including data racks, patch panels, cable trays, high level understanding of IDF, MDF and Data Center build out
- Utilizes appropriate testing equipment to test installed cables.
- Operates a variety of tools, such as hand tools, power tools, ladders, scissor lifts, and cabling test equipment
- Performs termination and testing of new cabling
- Builds and installs racks, dresses and terminates closets, carries out tests and troubleshoots
- Work at heights above ceiling and small confined spaces.
- Able to review floor plans, line diagrams and rack elevations to ensure successful installation
- Leave each job site clean and organized at the end of each day and spot checked at the completion of each project
- They should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills. technicians should be able to work with a team or independently.
