Job Title: Structured Cabling Technician (Level II and Lead)
Reports To: Project Manager
Pay: $25-30/hr Based upon experience.

This role is working in new construction and existing facilities installing telecommunications infrastructures for commercial sites.
Job Responsibilities:
· Technical Work
o WAP, A/V equipment, Network Switch, DVR, POS, People Counter, Wireless RF Unit, Phone Systems, PC terminals, and CCTV installation, relocation, repair, or removal.
o Installation of cable infrastructure (CAT5/E, CAT6, and Fiber).
o Dress and route cable into IT closets, devices, and work area outlets.
o Cable pathway installation (J-hooks, D-rings, cable trays, and ladder racks).
o Cable management (dressing and labeling).
o Cable Termination (Patch Panel, Jacks, Keystones, RJ-45/Modular Plug).
o IT Closet Builds (Data rack, ladder rack, cable tray, patch panel, sleeves, 110/66 blocks).
o Fiber splicing, installation, and testing (Fluke and OTDR experience).
o Read and follow blueprints set for installation.
o Review and complete work orders.
o Follow safety guidelines and protocols (Proper PPE, clean up jobsite, OSHA).
· Management (Lead)
o Manage teams to effectively complete large-scale commercial projects.
o GC/Client management experience.
o Conduct safety meetings.
o Order appropriate materials as necessary.
o Submit close out packages daily at end of shift prior to leaving the store.
o Experience with Smart Sheets is a huge plus.
o Blueprint changes. Submit change orders to Project Manager.
Job Requirements:
· High School Diploma or GED Equivalency.
· 2-7+ years of commercial Structured Cabling, Low Voltage, or data cable installation experience.
· Understanding BICSI Standards for installation.
· Active OSHA 10 – preferred.
· Scissor/Boom Lift Certification – preferred. Safety Harness provided by customer.
· Hilti, Fall Protection, and Confined Space Certifications – preferred.
· PC Skills.
· Physical Requirement: Ability to work at heights, on a ladder and/or scissor lift, and work in confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds. Ability to work on your feet for entire shift.
- Tools: Basic Hand Tools: screwdriver (multi-Bit), torpedo level, tape measure, snips, pliers (needle nose and channel locks), cable stripper, punch tool 110/66, modular plug crimper, flashlight, work boots (steel toe or composite toe), hammer, wrench set, gloves, and tool pouch.Power Tools: Drill, Drill Bit Set, Impact Driver, and Driver Bit Set.
