Structural Steel Fabricator/Welder

Welder / Fabricator

• Fabrication experience. Fabricate by cutting, burning, grinding, fitting, and welding various steel components according to shop drawings.
• Welding experience
• Set up and operate welding machine.
• Conduct repairs of steel and check for corrosion, distortion, etc.
• MUST be able to pass onsite welding test(s).
• Working knowledge of acetylene torch, MIG & Stick welding.
• Testing to ensure welds meet specifications.
• Understand and use weld fillet gages properly.
• Ability to lift maximum of 50 pounds.
• Work from blueprints, drawings, or technical manuals to produce product as specified.
• Knowledge/experience using overhead cranes preferred (handling steel beams, parts, etc.).
• Ability to manage time efficiently and effectively; and follow commands.
• Willingness to follow directions and comply with company policy and procedures.
• Maintain equipment and work area in clean environment.
• Ability to work and comply with all Safety Guidelines.
• Ability to read and write, and accurately read a tape measure.
• Ability to work 8-10 hours per day, with a morning break, lunch break and afternoon break.
