Structural Steel Detailer - Bulk Material Handling

Responsibilities:

• Review contract drawings, special provisions and estimates to understand scope of work and identify up-front any discrepancies between estimates and contract requirements
• Develop erection and detail fabrication drawings
• Adhere to standard drawing detailing practices
• Implement AISC and OSHA requirements for fabrication and erection
• Write and interpret RFIs
• Work with in-house engineers and project managers

Requirements:

• Ability to read and understand Structural Steel contract drawings
• Understanding of metal fabrication processes and procedures
• Strong math & geometry skills
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong AutoCAD skills; Tekla, Advanced Steel, Inventor, or other 3D CAD-related experience a plus
• Write and interpret RFIs
• Work with in-house engineers and project managers
