Description
As a Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and ensuring the safety and stability of various structures. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects.
Duties:
Design and analyze structures using software tools such as FEA (Finite Element Analysis)
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other professionals to develop structural designs that meet project requirements
Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports
Conduct site visits to assess existing structures and provide recommendations for repairs or modifications
Perform calculations to determine load capacities, stresses, and deflections
Review and approve construction plans to ensure compliance with building codes and regulations
Oversee the construction process to ensure adherence to design specifications
Utilize software programs such as Bluebeam, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and CAD for drafting and design purposes
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
Familiarity with building codes and regulations
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders
Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
Strong knowledge of Structural Engineering principles and practices - Proficiency in software tools such as FEA, Bluebeam, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and CAD
Structural engineering and licensed Structural Engineering more importantly.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
