Structural and construction drawing designer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Designer to join our team. As a Structural Designer, you will be responsible for designing and creating structural plans and models for various construction projects. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure the structural integrity and functionality of buildings and structures.

Responsibilities:
- Develop detailed structural designs using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, and SolidWorks

- Conduct surveys on customer sites and measure relevant data;

- Discuss the design plan with electrical engineers and electricians, quickly complete the design draft, and hand it over to the customer for decision-making;

- After the customer chooses our products and solutions, we quickly design the construction drawings;

- Submit the design plan to the stamping company for review and make timely modifications;

- Communicate with the Permit Office and submit the drawings for review until approval is obtained and transferred to the engineering department to arrange for the installer to perform construction.

- Compare your needs with our products, and in principle you can only choose products within the company's product line;

- Guide the installer to complete the installation work and be responsible for acceptance and on-site inspection.

- After working for a period of time, you can switch to remote online working mode.
- Collaborate with architects and engineers to understand project requirements and objectives
- Create accurate 2D and 3D models of structural components
- Perform calculations to determine load capacities and stresses on structures
- Conduct site visits to gather information and assess project feasibility
- Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and reports
- Review and revise designs based on feedback from clients, architects, or engineers
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely completion of projects
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in structural design

Skills:
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, SolidWorks, and other relevant software
- Strong understanding of system design principles
- Knowledge of Grasshopper for parametric modeling is a plus
- Familiarity with CAD software for drafting purposes
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and specifications
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
- Knowledge of interior design concepts is beneficial
- Experience using Bluebeam for document management is preferred

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
