Job description

The Los Angeles Rams are looking to add to their Performance Department by hiring a Strength and Conditioning Fellow to assist the Rams Strength and Conditioning Staff with the design, implementation and audit of all positional strength, power, speed, agility programming in 2024. Candidates must be able to collaborate in a team environment. The Strength and Conditioning Fellow will need to work in conjunction with sports medicine, nutrition, operations on various projects pertaining to the 2024 Off-Season Program, Training Camp and the 2024 Season. Additionally, the Strength and Conditioning Fellow will be expected to work within the entire organization on an as-needed basis on other performance and operational-related deliverables.
Note: This is a 12-month assignment, with the opportunity to extend for another 12-months.
Responsibilities:

  • Aid in all strength and conditioning program design, implementation, and quality control initiatives.
  • Coach individual players and run positional groups within assigned lift/run sessions as assigned.
  • Participate in Performance Education Research and Development Projects.
  • Participate in available relevant Professional Development activities.
  • Assist in Quarterly Report, Development Program, End of Season Reports and player strength and conditioning evaluations.
  • Enhance our We Not Me culture & be a compliance driver through positivity and enthusiasm.
  • Assist with all weight room/field set-ups, resets, take-downs before and after each workout session/group.
  • Clean equipment before, between and after each workout session/group.
  • Assist in all performance-related data entry.
  • Manage all home/away equipment hotel/stadium travel.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science or Athletic Performance Related Field - Required
  • Master's degree in Exercise Science or Athletic Performance Related field - Preferred
  • NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC Certification - Required
  • Current First Aid, AED & CPR Certification - Required

Experience:
  • 3-5 years of full-time experience as a high school, private or collegiate strength and conditioning coach within the sport of American Football - Required
  • Understanding of GPS/RFID tracking systems, Vald Products, and VBT methodologies - Preferred

Additional Requirements:
  • Role will be onsite (Woodland Hills Facility)
  • Travel required for training camp and away-game trips
  • Must be available to work weekends and holidays during the football season (August to February).

Compensation: Annual base salary of $66,560.
