Strategic Initiatives Grant Writer

Kids On The Move (KOTM) has an exciting opportunity for a Grant Writer to join the growing and dynamic Development Team. Be a part of change and create impactful experiences for children with disabilities and families.
The Grant Writer works closely with the CEO, COO, VP of Development, Finance and Programs to pursue and achieve the fundraising goals of Kids On The Move's operating budget and KOTM 5-year strategic plan.
Responsibilities:

• Researching, preparing, submitting, and tracking government, corporate and foundation proposals for the organization
• Research new funding and development opportunities on a local, state, and federal level to support the agency's strategic goals
• Meet a monthly quota of grants to be written and a target fundraising goal
• Communicating in clear and concise written language the requirements and restrictions associated with specific contract and grant funding
• Prepare written materials for fundraising and stewardship with foundations and corporations
• Cultivate and steward relationships (as directed) with prospective, current, and past donors to ensure strong partnerships are developed and maintained

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in social sciences, business administration or related field or three (3) years of progressive grant writing for non-profits
• Grants Management Certifications, preferred
• Ability to understand the needs of donors, clients, staff, vendors and ability to respond to those needs
