General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The Strategic Distribution Specialist partners with the supply chain team to deploy the processes and activities enabling the receiving, warehousing, and transportation of products and goods to maximize efficiencies, control costs, maintain regulatory compliance, and ensure safe processes for employees and products. This role will work with locations and vendors to ensure the best pricing on warehouse equipment and consumables and will work to ensure the efficient use of resources to optimize service levels.
The Strategic Distribution Specialist will be held accountable to:
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including Planning & Procurement, Distribution, Logistics, and Field Operations, to implement strategies and policies focusing on efficiency, accuracy, safety, and service.
- Maintain best practices and measure performance through agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Support the development of key supply chain strategies that may include: warehouse layout and product flow, warehouse efficiency tools, utilization of distribution assets, and inventory management.
- Build and maintain key relationships that include but are not limited to Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHSS), DOT, Logistics, Fleet, Finance, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Facilities, Field Operations, and Ag Business Systems (ABS).
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
- Strong understanding of operations, distribution, warehousing, and logistics.
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate direction and strategy to a diverse team
- Demonstrated ability to champion and comply with safety and regulatory requirements
- Data analytics experience preferred
- Track record in implementing processes efficiencies

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
- Promote safety culture while aligning with internal corporate social responsibility criteria.
- Work with the Supply Chain team to develop optimal warehouse lay-outs and coordinate with internal and external partners to execute implementation
- Align with Supply Chain departments to establish inventory control, storage, and movement strategies.
- Ensure process development and roll-out to attain Operational Excellence, including efficient asset and resource management and on-time delivery.
- Present a professional image through personal appearance and overall facility cleanliness
Travel:
- Ability to travel 50% of the time
Compensation and Benefits:
- In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $73,800 - $98,400. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
