About this role:
The Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Data Management Team is seeking a Lead Data Management Analyst. This position is responsible for contributing technical guidance, research, and requirements for capabilities aligning to the adoption and continued fulfilment of Wells Fargo's Data Management procedures. Capabilities include Metadata management, data quality execution, analytic environment enablement, records retention, data security and policy compliance, as well as data risk and control measurement. This position is also charged with contributing to identification and enablement of solutions that meet or exceed capability requirements.

In this role, you will:
- Gain a solid understanding of Wells Fargo Data Management Policy and Procedures
- Contribute to and grow WIM's Data Enablement Capability Catalog, including the requirements necessary to achieve WIMs data strategy and documentation of current and target state solutions
- Assist with defining, enabling, and measuring solution pilots for various capabilities
- Be an advocate for WIM Data Management by closely monitoring and participating in the continued development of Enterprise Data management solutions
- Build and maintain strong business relationships with partners across the line of business, Data Management and Insights, and Technology
- Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements
- Adhere to data governance standards and procedures
- Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members
- Recommend remediation of process or capability gaps that align to management strategy
- Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata capabilities and tools
- Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data capabilities
- Partner with groups and various levels of seniority companywide to coordinate and drive collaboration on build out of data and metadata capabilities
Required Qualifications, US:
- 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements
- 1+ year of experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) concepts
- 1+ years of experience with data manipulation, cleansing, and transformation
- Technology 1+ year of Big Data experience
- Knowledge and understanding of data governance challenges and approaches: metadata, data quality, and data stewardship
- Knowledge and understanding of automated data quality program execution
- Knowledge and understanding of data analysis, modeling, and mapping
- A BS/BA degree or higher
Job Expectations:
- Hybrid in-office model (minimum of 3 days per week in one of the office locations listed). Telework or remote work setting is not available
