Strategic Business Unit Leader

Conagra Brands – Centralia Plant, home of Duncan Hines, is looking to fill a production line leader position for one of our cell teams. You will work onsite at the Centralia, IL manufacturing plant and report to the operations manager.

You Will:

• be our 24-hour primary resource to our production team to help guide CPS and world class results in safety, quality, cost, productivity, delivery, and engagement
• lead overall continuous improvement of line level metrics across multiple shifts
• identify problems or bottlenecks in our production processes and resolve issues
• drive autonomous manufacturing development (AMD) process for the cell
• develop line-level tactical gap-to-goal plans as well as mid-range strategic plans
• drive overall line performance through the implementation of continuous improvement processes and development of a zero-loss culture
• lead cell team members to identify, manage, and execute the plant process improvement opportunities
• lead cell team in tracking and understanding goals, gap analysis, and creating action plans to address performance gaps
• coach cell team in personal accountability, giving and receiving feedback, root cause analysis, trade-off analysis, and external interactions
• troubleshoot problems and implements corrective actions through root cause analysis
• create an engaged and team-oriented workforce by participating in leadership coaching on the floor and focusing on employee retention efforts.
• ensure adherence to and endorsement of: Conagra Performance System (CPS), company policies, procedures, work instructions and practices

You Have:

• minimum three (3) years leading high performance teams and engaging team members to improve results, including employee hiring and retention, employee development, performance reviews and discipline
• working knowledge of production equipment and systems including maintenance activities
• working knowledge of Continuous Improvement activities and autonomous maintenance activities
• proficient in the use of Microsoft programs.
• performed formal root cause analysis to resolve downtime/inefficient operational issues
