This is a 3rd Shift Position
Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Straightener to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for straightening parts and ensuring their straightness in accordance with work instructions to meet stringent customer requirements.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Straighten parts as per customer specifications and requirements.
- Verify paperwork accuracy, count, and facilitate the movement of orders in the Straightening area.
- Prioritize and expedite urgent jobs through the straightening process to ensure timely delivery.
- Operate within established procedures and guidelines to run production effectively.
- Maintain production quality to meet customer standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and work operation sheets for appropriate operations.
- Communicate key job status updates to the Departmental Supervisor or Manufacturing Manager.
- Cross-train in other finishing areas to enhance versatility.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Proven ability to multitask, prioritize, and work with urgency.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints and work operation sheets.
- Proficiency in using dial indicators to straighten parts to required print tolerance.
- Familiarity with Workstation Driver.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Self-motivated with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
