JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for operating heavy equipment in support of the repair and maintenance of the City's stormwater infrastructure.
MAJOR DUTIES:
- Operates heavy equipment and vehicles used in the repair and maintenance of city stormwater infrastructure including stormwater pipes, inlets, drainage structures, manholes, detention basins, etc.
- Transports equipment to and from work sites.
- Maintains and repairs equipment and tools and stormwater infrastructure.
- Responds to emergency call out situations as required.
- Assists with building forms, pouring concrete, and finishing concrete for stormwater infrastructure.
- Performs snow and ice removal duties.
- Assists with traffic control duties.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION:
- Knowledge of front-end loaders, backhoes, dump trucks, and other types of heavy and light equipment used in the repair and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure.
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and procedures used in the maintenance and repair of stormwater infrastructure.
- Skill in the operation of backhoes, dump trucks, and other related heavy and light equipment used in the repair and maintenance of stormwater infrastructure.
- Skill in oral and written communication.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School graduation or equivalency and three (3) years experience and a demonstrated proficiency in heavy equipment operations on construction site.
- Must comply with Missouri CDL requirements must possess and maintain a valid Class "B" or better CDL.

The total compensation value for this position is $27.75 hourly/$57,712 yearly, which consists of the starting hourly rate plus the benefit package.
