As a Store Team Leader, you will oversee Total Store operations with a focus on the Front End and either the center store areas such as, Inventory Flow, Receiving, Shelf Edge, or perishable departments, while promoting and instilling Joe V's Smart Shop culture of People, Inventory, Process, and Expense Control Store-wide.

What is the work?
Management:

• Majority of the time spent using independent judgment in making employment-related and business decisions, or effectively recommend such decisions including but not limited to product and department related strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, suspending, discharging, rewarding or otherwise engage in resolving Partner-related matters
• Manages people, staffing, and training for area of focus
• Oversees the Front End team
• Manages audits; follows up on opportunities / issues
• Monitors Retail Control paperwork; identifies and follows up on opportunities / issues
• Maintains work instructions for area of focus
• Manages Operational Review Team (ORT)-related audits and findings
• Performs and promotes Joe Walks in area of focus
• Maintains and promotes QA standards and adherence Store-wide
• Supports Top Store Team Leader on strategic initiatives, financials, and planning
• Supports Leadership and Department teams with a total store mindset

Sales / Strategy:

• Creates actionable plans and follows up on 'What Ifs'
• Serves as Total Store Expenses Champion and Manager of Controllables / Corporate Controllables
• Manages Total Store expenses related to facility maintenance, supplies, Store Expense Listing (SEL) issues, work instructions, GI (ask Joe), repairs (Verisae), remodels, equipment, preventative maintenance (PM) servicing, lighting, pegs, fire, etc.

Customer Service:

• Focuses on Partner / customer relationships, collaboration, communication, and education
• Models / cultivates superior customer service across Store departments
• Identifies and assists in building talent
• Models / promotes active engagement with the Community

What is your background?

• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Extensive operational leadership experience, or

- Experience as an H-E-B Store Leader
- Completion of H-E-B - s or JVSS's Leadership Training Program

• Leadership skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including a minimum of 2 closing night shifts per work week

What training is required?

• Successful completion of JVSS Leadership Training Program or School of Retail Leadership (SORL)
