A qualified Store Supervisor candidate typically has 3+ years of retail experience and possesses great people and team leadership skills, interpersonal, and communication skills with our Team Members and customers.

Bring your leadership skills and creativity! Our Store Supervisors lead department teams to DELIVER Legendary Customer Service which builds on-going loyalty with our customers as the “Go To” place for lawn and garden products and pet care products and services. They assist the Store Manager to achieve store and corporate goals. Store Supervisors will have specific responsibilities involving both project responsibilities and individual contributor supervision. They creatively assist in planning and implementing product displays to stimulate sales. They train and coach Team Members for floor sales, maintaining store appearance and stock, merchandising, creative product displays, manage inventory flow and warehouse management.

Job Duties include:Store Supervisors will engage and serve customers in a manner which is always proactive, sincere, and knowledgeable. They communicate with Store Managers and Team Members in a clear, organized manner, such that all pertinent information is shared, and expectations clearly understood. Supervisors help their Store Managers develop and execute store events and promotions, contributing ideas and thoughts regarding customer interests, product advertising, and competition. Store Supervisors will supervise Team Members across one or more departments where Store Supervisors are accountable for customer service, store cleanliness, maintaining product stocks, signage, price tags, and merchandising. They create product displays and product pairings that will help our customers by offering a complete solution on the first trip for a project. Store Supervisors will establish and maintain product and application knowledge to serve customers and train Team Members.

Our Store Supervisors assist in managing and implementing seasonal changeovers and execution of all inventory control activities to achieve store loss and shrink goals.

Additional Key-Holder Responsibilities: If so designated, some of our Store Supervisors are asked to be “Key-Holders”, acting as the Manager on Duty when the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager are absent from the store. Key-Holders will execute most duties associated with daily store operations, opening, closing, and cashing-out the store as scheduled.

Requirements: Our Store Supervisors are hard-working with outgoing personalities, a high level of enthusiasm and personal energy, enthusiasm for pet or garden center products and their use. They have advanced communication skills, great organizational and time management skills, leading in a team environment, and ability to navigate Point-of-Sale (POS) systems and Microsoft Office 365.

Store Supervisor candidates must submit to a background check prior to the extension of an offer of employment.

This position requires a flexible schedule with work on days, evenings, weekends, and Spring and Summer holidays, and can require up to a 50-hour work schedule during our peak season, March to June, and up to 45 hours per week during off-season periods. All hours worked over 40 qualify for overtime pay at the rate of 1.5x the base hourly rate.
