Store Operations Specialist

Job Summary:

The Store Operations Specialist (SOS) leads and trains teams in performing all freight functions, including unloading, processing, stocking and resets.

Key Roles & Essential Functions:

Responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Unload, process and stock freight to correct location, following merchandising guidelines.

· Frequently moves merchandise weighing up to 50 Ibs, with team lift 100 Ibs; frequent kneeling, bending and stooping.

· Lead a team in performing all freight functions including stocking and resets. Ability to give direction to Specialists who are focused first in their specialized areas.

· Regularly communicate with customers who have questions about product in a clear and respectful manner. Must be able to exchange accurate information during sales transactions.

· Understand and perform cashier duties accurately while processing all transactions per policy.

· Maintains 5S standards (Sort, Straighten, Systematic cleanup, Standardize and Sustain) in all areas excluding receiving.

· Sustain excellent store appearance by performing store conditioning tasks, store recovery tasks during stocking efforts, housekeeping (inside and in outdoor weather conditions) to provide a positive shopping experience.

· Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder to retrieve or stock merchandise.

Qualifications & Competencies:

· At least 18 years old.

· High School Diploma/Equivalent.

· Team oriented, positive, upbeat and friendly with the ability to maintain composure under pressure and resolve customer concerns timely and thoroughly.

· Cultivate and reinforce a positive, collaborative environment that respects and values diversity.

· A leader who can train a team on the store freight processing and merchandising responsibilities.

· Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and some holidays when necessary to meet business needs.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize.

· Reliable and trustworthy.

· Ability to work effectively independently and within a team to perform all tasks as assigned.

· Operates all equipment in a safe manner per directed procedures.

· Ensures a safe working and shopping environment while minimizing shrink and damages.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.25 - $17.23 per hour
