Store Operations Management Intern will learn, understand, and perform the activities, roles, and responsibilities associated with the Blain’s Store Operations Team. The intern will be assigned various activities to ensure they receive a “hands-on” experience of the various functions within the team.
- Shadow, assist and support various functions of the Store Operations Team
- Complete duties of different Blains Corporate Store Operations associates, as requested
- Learn and become familiar with each Blains Corporate Store Operations departments and various roles
- Overview of Blains Corporate Store Operations functions which consist of Store Support, Customer Service, Workforce Management
- Work and communicate directly with Blains Corporate Store Operations staff
- Perform special projects as requested within the Workforce Management department
- Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures
- Follow internship timeline as designated in internship orientation
- Prepare a research project on a topic determined by Blain Supply and present research findings to the Blain’s Senior Leadership Team and other key Blain’s managers
- The Workforce Management Project will involve:
- Learn and understand Blain’s store scheduling application within the Reflexis Labor Model
- Understand, document and report on store scheduling efficiency
- Over and under scheduling compared to the Reflexis labor demand
- Observe and document how different volume stores operate compared to others, based on shared activities across store positions
- Recommend changes to the Reflexis Labor Model
- The Workforce Management Project will involve:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited University or College and be graduating within 12-18 months of the Internship.
- Proficient in Excel
- Ability to travel to nearby Blain’s Farm and Fleet stores
- Valid driver’s license
