Job description

This position is responsible for the analysis, movement and exhibition of the merchandise in the showroom. Supervises the members of the merchandise department.
Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, train and motivate the merchandise team.
  • Ascertain that your team follows company's rules and policies.
  • Available to travel to other stores based on company needs.
  • Conduct monthly staff meetings.
  • Prepare your team's schedules.
  • Take disciplinary action on your team when necessary.
  • Complete your team's performance evaluations.
  • Must be able to assist external customers when necessary and write sales orders.
  • Approve and supervise the "broken accessory form" process.
  • Approve and supervise the "inventory adjustment request".
  • Periodically process and analyze all merchandise reports by category to know how to make the best decisions for your store and company with regards to Marketing.
  • Must be able to multitask in order to work multiple functions.
  • Must have knowledge of interior design and space movement.
  • Ensure that all duties and responsibilities of each position in the merchandise department are met at 100%.
  • Responsible for ordering and displaying that the merchandise selected is correct for the showroom.
  • Marking floor sample discontinued, damaged or not selling merchandise and follow-up with the purpose of liquidating it as soon as possible.
  • Maintaining and updating the replacement of merchandise in the Wish List form.
  • Follow the parameters of ordering the new merchandise through the planning list.
  • Responsible for the merchandise and accessories replenishment that leave the showroom.
  • Responsible to have all the best-selling "WINNERS" furniture in the showroom.
  • Maintain showroom entrance with new or "WINNERS' merchandise in the company.
  • Move the merchandise that is discontinued, with zero sales and is not available in inventory to a less important space.
  • Complete the 30/60/90 form, analyzing the period of sales based on the different reports by category to be able to make decisions.
  • Check store's sales orders on a daily basis.
  • Conduct the daily 15/15 presentation. (To Head Porter/Housekeeping)
  • Keep showroom inventory in optimal condition. (To Head Designer)
  • Ascertain that the lights of the showroom are always in excellent position. (To Head Porter/Housekeeping)
  • Ensure that the rug rack, wall of mirrors and pictures are always presentable. (To Head Designer)
  • Make sure that the showroom is always clean. (To Head Porter/Housekeeping)
  • Responsible that all furniture and accessories are well marked and with their corresponding price.
  • Responsible that all the store property is exhibited in excellent condition and complies with the safety rules.
  • Order and maintain all the swatches of the merchandise and with its corresponding photos. (To Head Porter/Housekeeping)
  • Create and finalize all ISTs documents.
  • Responsible for the organization and maintenance of the store warehouse. (To Head Porter/Housekeeping)
  • Must be part of the interview process for recruiting new staff.
  • Complete and process work related forms for the entire team.
  • During company events, assist in supporting the team and organizing the showroom.
  • Other tasks may be assigned as needed.

Education and/or Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of experience in the merchandise field.
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Basic Mathematical skills
