Top Ten Liquors is excited to open our new 10,000 square foot Liquor Store in Dinkytown! We are currently hiring our manager for this location, which is expected to open mid-August. We are looking for someone who is energetic, responsible, quick-thinking, and highly engaged with customers.

This person will be responsible for the overall store management. The successful candidate will be able to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals and manage staff effectively. Store manager responsibilities may include supervising assistant Store Managers. Candidates must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all store management – employees, financials, inventory, hiring, resolving complaints, vendor relations, scheduling, safety and security, and scheduling
  • Ensure an outstanding customer experience and drive sales by welcoming guests, sharing product knowledge, providing recommendations, and carrying out product for guests
  • Establish long-term relationships with regular guests by remembering names and favorite product
  • Create a positive work environment where employees are engaged, motivated, and inspired
  • Encourage employee development by promoting use of Top Ten’s professional development payback program
  • Maintain excellent relationships with customers, vendors, and merchandisers
  • Work with Top Ten to hire talent, resolve escalated employee or customer issues, and drive sales by executing promotions and marketing plans
  • Complete store administration and ensure compliance with Top Ten’s policies and procedures
  • Lead and support visual directives from marketing, check in product from vendors, fill shelves and move merchandise as necessary, and oversee inventory processes
  • Meet Top Ten’s store standards by maintaining a clean and safe store
  • Resolve any escalated customer complaints, safety and security concerns, and employee disagreements
  • Provide Top Ten with daily sales, store updates, customer requests, and report on unresolved issues
  • Comply with all laws and regulations regarding the sale of alcohol
  • Propose innovative ideas to increase market share
  • Additional Store Manager duties as needed

Requirements

  • Candidate must have 2+ years’ experience in the liquor/wine industry
  • Candidate must have 2+ years' management experience
  • Candidate must be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Candidate must be able to lift 50+ lbs with reasonable accommodation
