The Store Manager is responsible for: Assistant Managers (if any), Fashion Buyers, and Sales Associates. The Store Manager reports directly to the Company President, and works with Human Resources, Accountants, Controllers, Marketing, Legal, and various vendors.
QUALIFICATIONS:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Manage, supervise, and lead retail store business, productivity, determine specials, sales. Execute the mission, goals, and objectives of the business.
2. Focus on all phases of operations and maintain a general knowledge of the industry and competitors.
3. Analyze trends, plan, and execute purchase process. Suggest and implement changes and improvements to purchase process while attempting to maintain specified margins. Keep COGS in balance and minimize potential for loss (overpaying, wrong item, wrong time). Assist in formalization of purchase process. Manage and optimize all inventory purchases and decisions. Refine framework for formal process. Provide input for formalization of purchase process in electronic format. Manage and optimize seasonal purchasing. Create and operate formal plan for seasonal product storage. Ensure sufficient seasonal product.
4. Maintain controls and execute policies on cash handling, deposits, customer pay-outs, and cash inventory. Be able to properly account for all transactions at the store level and also on any corporate accounts (credit cards).
5. Determine and execute sales, specials, VIP programs, and marketing directions and initiatives of the Company. Utilize digital mediums to effectuate the marketing initiatives including Facebook, Instagram, among others. Assist in monitoring and maintaining a positive corporate image on all online mediums. Utilize online mediums to promote buying (“Clothes for cash”) concept.
6. Conduct sales and productivity analysis and initiate appropriate action necessary to achieve long term market share and financial goals. Conduct a periodic assessment of staffing needs and policies to ensure Company objectives are being met successfully. Conduct periodic assessment of store space allocation according to supply, time of year, season, and trend.
7. Recruit, interview, hire, retain and train and schedule management, employees, and vendors to successfully conduct the retail operation. Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values training, retention, and a commitment to excellence. Assist with the content of all job descriptions and employment policies, postings, and procedures. Maintain a staff level which provides for a smooth operation during all regular business hours.
8. Propose and acquire approval, implement, and evaluate related operational policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure each location is properly merchandised and priced so that each location has continuity with the next.
9. Maintain all aspects of customer service, including dispute resolution.
10. Maintain store cleanliness.
11. Ensure proper training for all staff.
12. Conduct periodic assessment of all business practices, staffing, internal controls, vendors, and operations and discuss findings with the Company President.
13. Ensure compliance with all safety and security policies and procedures within retail stores.
14. Ensure maintenance of all equipment and cleanliness of buildings is kept to standard.
15. Maintain the employee schedule to ensure the Company is functioning at a level that guarantees customer service, product intake, but is at an operational efficiency.
16. Ensure the Company and Company logo is properly represented in every circumstance.
17. Properly log and report and passwords associated with the Company.
18. Periodic domestic travel will be required. Weekend, evening, and holiday work may be required.
19. Communicate effectively with others and exercise “People Skills”. Communicate efficiently, effectively, timely and accurately with the main office using telephone, cellular, text, or email communication.
20. To obtain, know, and understand all job objectives of each job description within the store.
