Primary Function:
This position provides coordinator support for the Facilities Management Storage building including freight receipt, delivery coordination, organization, and storage in accordance with established organizational policies and procedures of the institution and the department. This position also provides support in the moving, transportation, and storage of furniture, equipment, and supplies. The position must adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Supports the mission of the University and the department, including receptivity to new initiatives as may be set forth by the Office of Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability (OESS).

Typical Duties & Responsibilities:
Receives freight and shipments as scheduled by the department or other University departments noting special circumstances or damages in accordance with industry standards for freight carriers.Coordinates delivery of received shipments with customers.Maintains lists, logs, and computer systems for items moving to and from the storage facility.Organizes and manages materials stored in the Storage Building.Utilizes work order system, email, and tools to keep apprised of daily work.Provides moving and transportation services for furniture, equipment, and supplies in response to work orders.Assists with special event preparations: set up and take down of furniture, coordination with customers and vendors; return of areas to original condition before event.Operates special equipment including hand trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and aerial lifts. Drive box truck and other university vehicles.Assists in removal, recording, and storage of items removed before a renovation.May deliver custodial cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.Performs project work and specialty tasks according to facility needs. Attends training and information sessions as required.Other duties and tasks as assigned.Overtime or call-out work may be required from time to timeJudgment Required:
