Job description

The main purpose of the Stockroom Coordinator role is to ensure all required parts are on sight and kept in a clean and organized state in the stockroom. Performing daily receipts of incoming inventory and handing off paperwork to accounts payable. Additionally, the Stockroom coordinator will complete daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly inventory cycle counts.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure inventory levels are kept at adequate levels making sure production has everything required to complete ongoing projects.
  • Generate reports as needed to facilitate efficient ordering and restocking processes.
  • Use lean principles and apply them to inventory set up in various locations around the plant.
  • Manage parts receipt and parts shipping.
  • Pick materials for upcoming jobs and advise Production Manager of any discrepancies.
  • Pick and pack orders going direct to customers.
  • Set up and manage parts transfers to other Almex locations.
  • Bin orders which are awaiting production items and crating.
  • Preform regular cycle counts and generate reports for management.

Educational Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

Skills/ Specific Experience:

  • 1+ years’ experience with inventory management and/or receiving in a manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or related environment.
  • Possess a keen sense of attention to detail with exceptional organizational skills
  • High degree of self-discipline and motivation
  • Manual dexterity and keen hand/eye coordination
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move 100 pounds
  • Clean and organized
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of ERP Systems
