Summary

This position is responsible to provide advanced knowledge and skill to support supply room inventory control, receiving, and assuring needed parts and supplies are available to support efficient plant operations. In addition, works with the Purchasing Department to meet operating requirements at the lowest cost available.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate receiving documentation, inventory files, and records.
• Ensures all documents are processed in an accurate and timely manner. This includes, but is not limited, to routing,
• posting, and filing.
• Ensures materials received are reconciled with packing slips and purchase orders and moved to the appropriate
• storage area.
• Ensures materials issued are posted to inventory records.
• Ensures the shipment of outbound goods is handled according to Simplot’s policies and procedures.
• Ensures inventories are maintained at desired levels.
• Interfaces directly with vendors to incorporate all aspects of inventory needs, deliveries, and shipping. This includes
• reviewing purchase orders, following up on back orders and coordination of shipping.
• Ensures communication (oral and written) to vendors and other plant personnel is appropriate, accurate, timely, and
• courteous.
• Ensures stock room and office areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
• Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired
• skills and knowledge.
• Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.
• Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and procedures

• Shift: Day Shift- Crew A 
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds
• Hourly rate: $21.00 an hour
• Hands on experience in inventory control and computerized inventory systems
• Knowledge of warehouse and transport operations
• FMCG exposure
• Overall Supply Chain knowledge gained through certification
• Accounting / Clerical background advantageous
• Familiar with or capable of learning the JDE system
• Advanced computer literacy across MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
