Responsibilities:
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Assemble and package surgical instrument trays and sets
- Ensure proper handling and storage of sterile supplies
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves and ultrasonic cleaners
- Follow established protocols and guidelines for infection control and aseptic technique
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization processes and equipment maintenance
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure timely availability of sterile supplies
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience as a Sterile Processing Technician preferred
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Familiarity with aseptic technique and Sterile Processing procedures
- Ability to operate sterilization equipment effectively and safely
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
