Sterile Processing Tech Full Time Afternoon Shift

Job Description:

3:00pm - 11:00pm

JOB SUMMARY :

• Thorough knowledge of microbiology, cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization procedures, as well as the assembly of equipment and surgical instrumentation.

• Safely operates mechanical equipment including washers, sterilizers, and sonic cleaners.

• Responsibilities include orientating appropriate OR staff members to SPD procedures and serving as a resource person for OR staff to provide technical information on supplies, equipment, and sterilization requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS :

• High school diploma or equivalent required, or higher. Previous SPD experience preferred.

• IAHCSMM (HSPA as of 1/1/2022) or CBSPD certification preferred upon hire and required within 18 months of hire date.

• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
