Form of work- Position Summary
- Develops schedule for orientation of all new personnel. Primary mentor and teacher for all CSD orientees and staff and meets with orientees to regularly assess progress and provide feedback. Consults with Staff Development Specialist concerning ongoing education projects for the staff. Conducts in-services and develops educational experiences, including a list of competencies to assist staff with use of new equipment, development of new skills and advancement along professional ladder, including attaining certification.
- Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- License/Certifications: Certified as a Sterile Processing Technician through IAHCSMM preferred. CBSPTT preferred
- Experience: 3-5 Years of Sterile Processing Experience
- Leadership and interpersonal skills at a level that involves training, evaluating, and, educating staff.
- Expertise on decontamination and sterilization processes and practices.
- Undergraduate degree preferred or matriculation in an undergrad program.
