How you will do it
  • Responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance and repairs for high pressure gas/oil boilers and associated equipment.  Diagnose, trouble shoot and make repairs to malfunctioning equipment. 
  • Welding or cutting using Mig, Arc, or Oxygen-acetylene torch. Use metal working tools, such as metal brake, drill press, etc. Make repairs on all boilers and associated equipment as needed. Come in on call back to make any necessary repairs to ensure plant operation status.
  • Train the Operators that are on maintenance on proper mechanics and theory of operation. Supervise the work of the Operator when on maintenance schedule to ensure proper cleaning and service repairs. Review daily logs to determine areas of concern for maintenance issues. Update service schedule and intervals of associated plant equipment.
  • Plans, selects, and lays out required materials for service and repair work. 
  • Works from drawings, schematics, blueprints, job layouts or verbal instructions and operates a variety of tools and machines incidental to operations.
  • Requisitions of new supplies and equipment.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards.
What we look for 
Required
  • Completion of a two-year technical degree or equivalent, or a minimum of two years’ experience in an Industrial Maintenance and Operation related field.
  • Solid understanding of welding fundamentals and techniques.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to deal with service and repairs of industrial related equipment.
  • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
  • Must be able to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. subject to callbacks seven day a week, 24 hours a day
  • May be required to use a variety of hand and power tools or forklift.
  • May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.
PREFERRED:
  • Equivalent to a 2nd Class Minnesota Class B Boiler Operator’s License or higher
  • 3 years of high-pressure boiler experiences
