This position is specifically for our Staybridge Suites opening in late summer/early fall 2024 and is located across from Vidant Hospital.
Sales Representative
The primary responsibility of the Sales Representative is to provide support to the hotel sales by assisting in various aspects of the sales processes, including but not limited to contacting current and new clients for obtaining relevant information, administering sales contracts, analyzing market data to understand the market conditions and offer ideas on adjusting the sales strategy.
Primary Duties and Accountabilities:
- Assists in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating advertising materials and sales promotion programs; developing field sales action plans.
- Coordinate sales process by managing schedules, filing important documents, and communicating relevant information.
- Ensure the adequacy of sales-related information or material.
- Responds to complaints from customers and gives after-sales support when requested.
- Stores and sorts financial and non-financial data in electronic form and presents reports.
- Inputs customer data in the Sales system.
- Assists with group contracts, corporate contract reservations in the property management system.
- Handles the processing of all orders with accuracy and timeliness.
- Inform clients of any unforeseen problems.
- Assists in the preparation and organization of promotional material or events
- Provides relevant analytical information to the General Manager by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing market data and trends.
- Protects the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Prepares and modifies sales and marketing contracts as requested.
- Coordinates appointments and visits to meet and follow up with established clients as we develop new client relationships.
- Offers guests assistance whenever possible.
- Answers inquiries about hotel policies and services
Knowledge and Skills
Experience: Experience in hospitality, customer service, coordinator background
Physical Job Requirements
- Lifting/Pushing/Pulling/Carrying:
Position does not require a great deal of lifting/pushing/pulling or carrying, aside from the normal functions required in an office setting or occasional banquet assistance.
Communication:
· One-on-one communication with guests, supervisors, and coworkers is critical
· Must be able to receive, understand and give directions within the Sales Department
· Must be able to clearly communicate property, company and contract information to clients
· Must have exceptional written and verbal skills, as well as ability to compose professional and articulate emails and written communication
· Must be able to understand, compile and submit reports in an efficient manner

Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
