Statistician Intern

CAPITAL Services is offering a Statistician Internship for the summer of 2024!

Under the direction of our Analysts and Data Scientists, a Statistician Intern will work primarily in the following areas: risk analysis, model and strategy development, model validation, and MIS reporting. The intern will get a variety of training opportunities to build their skills for statistical analysis and business intelligence. The Statistician Internship will run for 12 weeks beginning in May 2024 and is located onsite in Sioux Falls, SD.

Qualifications:

• Junior level or higher in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline with at least a 3.0 GPA.
• Attention to detail and self-motivated.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must live within 100 Miles of Sioux Falls, SD.
• Authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis.

Preferences:

• Familiarity with SQL.
• Statistical software experience: SAS or R.
• Considering graduate studies in statistics or related field.
• Successful completion of an analytics project.
