Staff/Senior Accountant

ABOUT US

We are a rapidly growing, innovative hospitality company reinventing the timeshare experience across discovery, booking, and stay. We seek a staff or senior accountant to be a key contributor in shaping our finance organization as we integrate new resorts and expand our product lines. This position will report to the Accounting Manager. This is a unique opportunity for someone that is looking to be challenged and wants rapid growth.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Assist with the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including HOA board reports and annual budgets for multiple entities
• Understand coding, set up new accounts, reconcile accounts, and close monthly books
• Maintain general ledger, including recording of journal entries
• Prepare various schedules related to balance sheet accounts
• Accruals of payroll costs and other accruals as needed
• Assist with various accounts receivable invoicing and posting of payments
  • Includes process and reconciling inter-company transactions
• Assist with preparation and filing of various tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
• Assist with annual audits; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
• Aid management in forecasting business review and other proforma reporting
• Assist with leveraging technology to drive efficiency

• Solid understanding of GAAP and applicable regulations
  • Ability to analyze financial information
• Excellent technical abilities with advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite – Excel, Word, Etc.
  • Must have ability to create and utilize excel spreadsheets, including but not limited to pivot tables and formula use with minimal instruction

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in accounting
• MBA or Master’s in Accounting a plus
• Experience in the hospitality and/or travel industry is required, timeshare or vacation rental experience a plus
• Experience with Sage Intacct a plus
• Salary will be based on the ideal candidate’s experience and skills

• Must be able to lift 30 lbs., move, stand, walk, traverse, crouch/stoop, kneel, repetitive hand/wrist motion, reach, bend, see, recognize, distinguish, convey information and converse with staff and others with great consistency.
• Consistent viewing of computer screen
