THE OPPORTUNITY
YES Prep needs a dynamic Temporary Staffing Coordinator with a diverse set of experiences, to make our mission a reality. As a YES Prep employee, you will achieve jaw-dropping results, create pathways to opportunity for our students, build transformative relationships, and eliminate educational inequities to advance social justice.
To put it simply, you will support the Home Office Staffing team during the Spring 2024 hiring season.
THE ROLE
Hiring
- Coordinating and scheduling intake meetings with Home Office Hiring managers prior to or within 24 hours of posting a role;
- Previewing job descriptions and creating job postings in Jobvite;
- Managing job postings and hiring manager communications to ensure candidates are regularly updated on their status and requisitions are closed out within 60 days of posting;
- Providing Hiring Managers with support throughout the hiring process;
- Reflecting on the Home Office hiring process and providing ideas and feedback that improve the efficiency and quality of the candidate and hiring manager experience;
- Executing the logistics of the hiring process with fidelity to ensure that all fiscal year 2025 Home Office roles are filled by June 7th:
Administrative Work
- Supporting with responding to inquiries in the YES Prep Careers and YES Prep Talent inbox;
- Developing, editing, and filing critical human resources documents;
- Assisting the Director of Home Office Staffing with critical projects;
Communications
- Using existing communication systems to keep the Director of Home Office Staffing and Home Office Recruiter aware of Home Office staffing needs and progress on projects;
- Maintaining all communication systems related to Home Office hiring;
Being a Resource
- Referring managers and staff on HR policies (as explained in the Employee Handbook) and to internal HR resources that impact and drive their work. Resources include, but are not limited to, Talent Management, ADA, FMLA, and evaluative resources;
Additional duties as assigned.
THE PERSON
MUST HAVES
- High School Diploma
- 0-3 years of professional experience in a human resource, administrative, or operations focused role
- Comfort using computer application systems and programs
- Strong ability to develop and implement personal, organization systems
- Self-starter who is hungry to grow and learn in an HR professional setting
- Effective communicator in both written and oral form, with excellent clarity and grammar
- Attention to detail and thoroughly checks work products
- Doesn’t spill the beans on the highest level of confidential matters
- Belief in and commitment to the mission and core value of YES Prep Public Schools
- Openness to giving and receiving frequent feedback
- Ability to maintain emotional control under stress
- Demonstrated ability to work on a team

THE NICE TO HAVES
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
- Experience with Human Resources, Benefits, or Payroll systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and other Microsoft programs
