- POSITION SUMMARY
- Major responsibility includes accurate administration of ionizing radiation to a prescribed area according to the prescribed dose. Educates and informs patients and their families about aspects of their radiation therapy treatments and refers them to an Oncology nurse or a Radiation Oncologist when necessary. Schedules and maintains daily therapy treatment appointments. Documents daily dose delivered and accurately calculates accumulated dose and elapsed treatment days.
- EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Radiation Therapy
- Board Certified or Registry eligible by the ARRT in Radiation Therapy
- ARRT registered
- 1 years experience
