Staff Liaison/ Medical Receptionist (Training Provided On-Site!)

Massachusetts Dermatology Associates (MassDerm) is hiring for a Staff Liaison/Medical Receptionist Position:

Our clinic, located at Cummings Center in Beverly, MA, provides the full spectrum of dermatologic care. A staff liaison is a resource to the staff and patients who will meet individually with various staff members on a periodic basis to touch base, provide performance updates, and listen to staff feedback and concerns. The liaison will be available to staff and will provide communications between staff and the clinic leadership. The liaison will also serve as a resource to patients and will be available to address concerns from patients.

***It is probable that more than 50% of work hours may be spent on Medical Receptionist responsibilities that are not specific to liaison responsibilities.

Medical Receptionist responsibilities will include greeting and registering patients and performing patient check-in and check-out duties. There will also be telephone correspondence with patients, referring physicians, and businesses. In addition, we request assistance with a variety of other administrative responsibilities which will include billing, claims management, schedule coordination, database management, and other computer-based tasks.

The individual hired for this role would function as both a Medical Receptionist and a staff and patient liaison

Receptionist and Liaison Required Experience:

- Customer service skills demonstrated by prior work in food services, retail, or customer assistance work are preferred (but not required)

- Experience as a supervisor or manager or with conflict resolution

- Receptionist experience is not required. Training provided on-site

- Applicants who have demonstrated previous job loyalty are preferred

Receptionist and Liaison Educational Requirements:

-College degree with GPA of 3.0 or higher

-Excellent written English skills

-Computing skills including facility with Microsoft Word and Excel or Google Docs and Google Sheets

Receptionist and Liaison Expectations:

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Energetic, eager to learn

-Ability to work efficiently as part of a team

-Ability to learn our electronic medical record, practice management software, and other computer-based tasks

-Ready for both structured and self-directed learning
