Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Health & Well-being Copy Desk
    • Copyediting all new and updated clinical articles
    • Hire, train, and supervise freelance Clinical Copy editors
    • Editorial lead for health literacy and health editorial best practices
  • Track progress toward Health & Well-being team monthly publishing goals (new and updates) and manage closely with internal ops team
  • Work with the in-house team of editorial and SEO professionals to ensure 100% content is SEO-optimized, including headline optimization, and developing internal and external linking best practices
  • Collaborate on ad hoc projects with various internal stakeholders, including product, SEO, newsletter, communications, and video

Skills & Qualifications:
  • BA/BS in journalism, language, linguistics, or relevant field (advanced degree preferred)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in health editing, content creation, or related roles, ideally with progressive responsibility across an editorial team
  • Strong understanding of health terminology and concepts
  • Training in health literacy and DEI, to ensure we are able to serve a broad population of readers, no matter how difficult, complex or controversial the topic
  • Strong command of style guide implementation and maintenance, preferably with in-house style guide creation
  • Proficiency in content management systems, Google Suite, SEO practices, and digital content distribution strategies
  • Previous experience working with health editors and freelance contributors
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex medical information in a clear and engaging manner
  • Familiarity with regulatory guidelines and ethical considerations related to health content creation
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative mindset with the capacity to foster teamwork and effective communication across different departments

At GoodRx, pay ranges are determined based on work locations and may vary based on where the successful candidate is hired. The pay ranges below are shown as a guideline, and the successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and other relevant business and organizational factors. These pay zones may be modified in the future. Please contact your recruiter for additional information.
San Francisco Office:
$121,000.00 - $193,000.00
New York and Seattle Offices:
$111,000.00 - $177,000.00
Santa Monica Office:
$101,000.00 - $161,000.00
Other Office Locations:
$91,000.00 - $145,000.00
