Position Summary...
What you'll do...
As a Staff Design Researcher on the UX Research team, you will:
  • Lead design research studies end to end, leveraging your background in quantitative and accessibility research to benchmark experiences and improve our understanding of our associates' needs, motivations, and pain points,
  • Partner with Design, Product, Business and Technology leaders to leverage research insights in influencing business strategy and shaping product roadmaps.

The EBS Design Research team leverages a variety of human-centered design tools and research techniques, including quantitative, qualitative, and mixed-method approaches, to understand and transform the experiences of our 2 million+ associates in close collaboration with leaders from Design, Product, Business and Technology.
What you'll do:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership from cross-functional teams on complex problem spaces, crafting research roadmaps to inform key decisions.
  • Develop and execute portfolio-wide quantitative research studies to measure Product performance, and gather and analyze data on associates' needs, behaviors and preferences.
  • Lead accessibility research efforts to inform the design of inclusive products and experiences.
  • Present research findings in a compelling and engaging manner with creative storytelling and expertly crafted presentations to ensure that teams create robust, insight-driven solutions.
  • Support research team influence and growth by taking an active role in coaching other researchers, and identifying high-value opportunities for our team.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of design research experience OR Master's or PhD Degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Service Design, Design Research, Psychology, or Cultural Anthropology and 5-7 years of design research experience
  • Deep understanding of quantitative research methods and proficient in analyzing research data using statistical analysis software and data visualization tools to derive meaningful insights.
  • Experience with accessibility research and inclusive design principles.
  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal communication skills to represent Research with diverse stakeholder groups and advocate for user-centered design.
  • Research portfolio with case studies demonstrating experience.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in UI/UX design, graphic design, visual communication, product design, computer science, information technology, or related area and 4 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
Option 2: 6 years' experience in market research, business analysis, UX design research, or related area.
