Staff Accountant

Company Overview:

Our client, Enpro, a premier manufacturer’s representative/distributor, located in the western suburbs of Chicago is looking for a Staff Accountant to join their team. This person will be a key contributor to the day-to-day accounting operations for their subsidiary, AmeriChem, and will provide a broad range of accounting and finance support to the Controller. The office is located in Addison and this position is required to sit on-site.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute month-end close related tasks, including journal entries, account analyses and reconciliations
• Assist in the development of annual business plans and quarterly forecasts
• Assist in implementing process improvements
• Prepare and maintain financial records and reports
• Review of accounting guidance (US GAAP)
• Assist with ad-hoc projects as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• CPA preferred

Additional Skills:

• Knowledge of QuickBooks and MS Office
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
• Process-oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Solid organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a demanding, deadline driven environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
