Staff Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Bachelor’s of Business Administration; Concentration in Accounting
• 5 years of relevant Accounting experience
• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
• Interprets financial data found on balance sheet, P&L, and other financial report
• Audit payroll, tax accounts, and other liabilities for balance sheet accuracy
• Quick Books cleanup for 40+ accounts (GL accounts description & unity, due to/from accuracy)
• Software includes MS Office, Excel (Advanced), and QuickBooks (Online/ Desktop - Expertise)
• Conduct account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data
• Assist in the preparation of journal entries and month-end close processes
• Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper recording of transactions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial management and reporting
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and processes
• Provide support for audits and compliance with securities law

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• CPA certification is preferred
• Strong knowledge of private equity accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet reconciliation
• Experience with financial management systems such as Quick Books & Sage
• Familiarity with PR tax law and regulations is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team environment

Job Type: Contract

Salary: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
