What You'll Do:
The Staff Accountant is a key administrative support employee, supporting management with a range of accounting, bookkeeping, financial analysis, and administrative duties. The Staff Accountant will embrace the role of a service provider for the organization.
- AR/AP Processing: Responsible for entering, processing, and reconciling all accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP)and company credit cards;
- General Ledger: Ensures timely updates to QuickBooks general ledger for all AP, AR, and payroll transaction;
- Account Reconciliations: Responsible for completing all account reconciliations and ensuring accuracy of all accounts;
- Monthly Bank Reconciliations: Responsible for completing monthly bank reconciliations for all cash and credit card accounts ensuring all bank accounts are balanced and reconciled;
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Responsible for completing monthly account reconciliations;
- Post Financial Transactions: Reviews and posts daily financial transactions and journal entries to Quickbooks;
- Bank Relations: Coordinates with banks and vendors to resolve issues as needed;
- Month-End Financials: Assists the accounting team with month-end financial closing processes;
Who You Are:
- Good Excel & spreadsheet skills;
- Good understanding of accrual basis of accounting;
- Comfortable working in an accounting systems (i.e., Quickbooks, NetSuites, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and a desire to improve current processes;
Minimum Requirements:
- 5+ years in Accounting
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field and/or equivalent experience
Nice to Have:
- CPA License
- Previous Remote Experience
- 2+ years in an operational role
- BI Experience
The on target earnings for this role is between $70,000 - $85,000 including commission and base salary. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications.
