Job Summary:

We’re looking for a highly skilled Staff Accountant who is ready to help lead all aspects of our accounting function.
What will our Staff Accountant do? A successful Staff Accountant will properly account for the company’s financial transactions while ensuring appropriate payment and collections activity. Through reliable accounting practices, the Staff Accountant increases CSW’s ability to drive informed decision-making in support of strategic objectives. Ultimately, the responsibilities of the Staff Accountant are to provide timely and accurate financial reporting, while ensuring proper transactional execution.
Compensation and Benefits:
- $65,000 - $77,000 per year expected cash compensation range

Responsibilities include:
- Maintain financial reports, records, and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account/bank reconciliations, and lead month-end close process.
- Contribute to the development and review of annual operating budgets and performance projections.
- Maintain documentation for accounts payable, purchasing, and treasury and conducting internal audits.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliation and review of monthly accrual entries.
- Supervise and support accounting clerk, who is generally tasked with coordinating: Accounts Receivable (billing integration and cash receipts/application), Accounts Payable (bill approval, bill entry, payment documentation), Weekly payroll processing (in third party system)
- Assist HR department with any personnel, payroll, and employee benefit matters.
- Meet processing and reporting deadlines.
- Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- Public accounting experience preferred
- Exceptional knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, and internal controls
- Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize to manage conflicting deadlines
- Detail-oriented with a focus on producing high-quality work
- Self-starter and team player
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite of applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong decision-making skills
