Staff Accountant

We are looking for a Hospitality Professional to help us reinforce the standards that historically make us one of the best in the business. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Hotel Staff Accountant.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The Staff Accountant assists the Finance Department in performing multiple duties related to the Accounting functions of the organization within established deadlines under limited supervision
• Some of your responsibilities include: prepare, record, and process accounts payable and cash disbursement, and accounts receivable and cash receipts
• Prepare Daily Revenue Report
• Prepare Daily Cash Report
• Assist in performing daily General Cashier function to include handling cash receipts, petty cash handling and Bank deposits
• Assist in preparing and processing weekly payroll
• Assist in the posting of accounts to the general ledger for: accounts receivable, cash receipts, accounts payable, cash disbursements and payroll
• Review open invoice reports and follow up with a schedule of payments or adjustments
• Assist Controller with the month-end closing
• Assist in monthly bank reconciliation
• Maintain required records, reports, and files in an organized manner
• Perform other related duties as directed or as the situation dictates

Requirements:

• Hotel Accounting management experience
• OPERA experience
