Summary/Objective:
In this role, the Staff Accountant is responsible for performing accounting for the organization; performing account analysis, and reconciliations.

- Compile and analyze financial information to prepare general ledger entries
- Provide financial analyses as needed
- Assist the Corporate Controller with the day-to-day, monthly and year-end operations of the Accounting/ Finance Department
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to management
- Assist with month-end process.
- Prepare journal entries.
- Develop and implement accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
- Manage AP/AR process with the other accounting staff
- Maintain accurate account and data reconciliation including supporting sub-ledgers, journals, and other financial documentation within a cost-efficient operation.
- Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time by the Division Controller.

Required Education and Experience
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in accounting from an accredited college or university required.
- 1-2 years of previous accounting experience.
- Logistics experience preferred, but not required.
- Accounting knowledge of account balancing and reconciliation skills
- Excellent in interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be detailed oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
- Must be able to work effectively with minima oversight, while also functioning in a team environment.
- Computer literacy with MS Office Suite is essential
