The Building People, LLC, has a position open for a Staff Accountant.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reconcile monthly AMEX credit cards and follow up with PMS obtaining receipts.
- JE in CostPoint for reconciled AMEX Cards
- Provide information to submit with company invoices.
- Monthly Bank Reconciliation
- Performs reconciliations of some Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and G/L accounts, Cash, Aged A/R, Unbilled A/R, Prepaid Expenses, Open A/P, Direct Costs, Indirect Costs
- Assists in preparing the monthly GL entries for monthly close.
- Sets up vendors and maintains vendor (master file) information in CostPoint.
- Interacts in a professional manner with senior management, company employees, finance staff, and external parties.
- Provide information for external audits, including F/S audits and government audits (DCAA, IRS, etc.)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Our positions may require a background screening and clearance directly from the Government.

Requirement Experience & Skills
(3-5) years of experience in Government Contracting accounting.
(3-5) years of hands-on experience using Deltek CostPoint
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
Required Education and Certifications:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration from an accredited school or 5-7 years of accounting experience.
