Job Summary
At Amware finances are the fuel that keeps our company moving. We’re looking for a qualified Staff Accountant to keep our company and client’s numbers and budgets on track with unwavering accuracy. The most successful people will have a natural passion for math, and a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability and other financial transactions within an organization.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain vendor records, including W9’s.
- Processing of all vendor invoices through an A/P software platform
- Maintain and balance an automated consolidation system by uploading data; scheduling required jobs; verifying data.
- Verify proper authorization and apply appropriate GL coding.
- Timely resolution of all discrepancies found during the reconciliation process.
- Review sales tax charges and apply use tax if required.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
- Assist with weekly cash requirement reports.
- Assist with month-end closing.
- Reconcile capital leases, monthly.
- Complete new vendor applications for credit review.
- Review and prepare 1099 forms and filings with IRS on a timely basis.
- Calculate and complete applications for business licenses.
- Analyze information and options by developing spreadsheet reports.
- Maintain and improve accounts payable process and procedures.
- Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files, reconciling accounts.
- Provide accounting support for mergers and acquisitions.
- Reconcile cash disbursement accounts, payroll, customer accounts, and other financial accounts.
- Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents needed to perform annual and bank audits.
- Protect organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Skilled In:
- MS Office
- Sage
- Netsuite
Ability To:
- Self- Manage, show initiative, solve problems, and prioritize tasks.
- Communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats to a diverse population to include executive level personnel.
- Pay attention to detail and use a high level of organizational skills in the work environment.
Selective Preference:
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or related field and at least 3 years of related experience.
