Staff Accountant

Who We Are: Founded in 2006, Parks Financial Services Inc is a service-oriented Tax, Accounting and Consulting firm providing an array of services for our small business clients ranging from traditional accounting and bookkeeping, to comprehensive tax planning and preparation. Through our parent company CF Parks Inc., we provide an array of Wealth Management services including investment management, comprehensive financial planning and business consulting. Our office is in Salisbury, NC and provides a comfortable, professional work environment and our staff can also work remotely under certain circumstances. Our Open Position: The Staff Accountant is responsible for managing the client accounting daily processes for assigned clients. We utilize the latest technology for payroll services, and operate each account in various accounting and payroll software applications. This position can be filled by a full-time or multiple part-time applicants. All are welcome to apply.
Some of the essential responsibilities include:
- Maintains client accounts by downloading, verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
- Balances client accounts by reconciling entries.
- Maintains general ledger.
- Report and manage cash flows.
- Generates payroll, and accounts payable/receivables for clients
- Generates payroll and/or sales tax reports as required
- Maintains historical records by filing documents.
- Develops system to account for financial transactions for new clients by establishing a chart of accounts; defining bookkeeping policies and procedures.
- Prepares financial reports as needed for business consulting meetings and advises consulting manager of trends
- Assist in the preparation process of Individual, Corporate and Partnership tax returns
- Complete setups and corporate tax status conversions
- Review and clean up accounting records that were maintained outside of our office.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications Needed:
- Prior accounting or bookkeeping experience required.
- Adept in understanding systems such as QuickBooks, Quickbooks Online and ProSeries
- Knowledgeable in general accepted accounting principles.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven enviroment
- Ability to understand and utilize various technology systems
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
