Overview of Accounting Job Duties:
· Prepares financial and business related analysis and research in such areas as it relates to the organization, including, but not limited to variance and profitability analysis for existing departments.
· Furnishes internal and external reports as necessary.
· Responsible for maintaining fixed assets within the accounting software.
· Accounts payable; record purchases, produce checks, bank drafts.
· Accounts receivable; produce invoices and record payments. Potential to work with various billing packages.
· Knowledge of ADP payroll processing.
· Record journal entries related to the course of business.
· Interacts with external auditors annually.
· Corresponds as necessary, with all levels of government, local, state and federal.
· Assists Director of Business Operations on development and implementation of a formal cost allocation plan.
· Works directly with all mangers on the development of the annual budget.
· Prepares for and participates in various audits as it relates to our agency, programs and grants.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration with emphasis in accounting. Advanced knowledge of MS Excel. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Effective communication skills. Non-profit, Human Service accounting experience beneficial.
