Job Description
We are looking for a Mid-level Bookkeeper to join our team! As an established public accounting firm in the Meridian area, the team member we are looking for needs a strong payroll background, bookkeeping experience, high level of comfort with Quickbooks and Microsoft Office programs. At least 2-3 years of experience working in a public accounting firm is preferred. Customer service skills are a must. Our firm strives at providing outstanding customer satisfaction and we go above and beyond the call of duty for our clients. We are a small firm that is growing rapidly with plenty of opportunities for career advancement. This person will also have the opportunity to work some days from home once the onboarding phase is complete.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Data entry using QuickBooks (2-3 years experience preferred)
- Recording Financial transactions (4-5 years experience preferred)
- At least 5+ years of experience with complex accounting
- Experience with full-service bookkeeping – A/P, A/R, Bank reconciliations
- Preparing Financial reports
- Reconciling Financials
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- Experience with various types of payroll, payroll liabilities
- Payroll processing experience with QuickBooks (or other payroll software)
- Notifying senior staff of accounting errors
- Extensive knowledge of QuickBooks
- Prior CPA Firm experience preferred, but not required
